The Export-Import
Bank of the United States (“EIB”) issued a notice and requested
comment on “an application for final
commitment for a long-term loan or financial guarantee in excess of $100
million.” The obligor is Philippine
Airlines, Inc. and the purpose of the transaction is “to support the export of [a] U.S.
manufactured commercial aircraft to the Philippines,” specifically, a
Boeing 777 aircraft. The Boeing 777 is
to be “used for long-haul passenger air
service between the Philippines and destinations in Asia, Canada, and other
routes.”
Timely comments concerning
export assistance for the Boeing 777 aircraft will be presented to the EIB
Board of Directors prior to final action on this transaction. Information on the final decision will be
available in the “Summary Minutes
of Meetings of Board of Directors.”
Comments must be received on or before April 8, 2013.
